PETROF is building pianos with one thought in mind - we want all pianists irrespective if they are professionals or leisure players to enjoy their playing.

The PETROF Company has been producing upright and grand pianos with unmistakable romantic sound and design since 1864. The company has produced over 600.000 instruments during its almost 150 year history and now PETROF is the leading European piano manufacturer exporting to more than 60 countries worldwide.

Our production programme includes a wide range of products from master pianos for large venues such as concert halls to upright pianos for schools, studios and home interiors.

Our instrument production is based on traditional techniques harnessed by artisan hand work and focused on the resulting tone colour and detailed cabinetry treatments. All instruments bearing the PETROF brand are made at the Hradec Králové plant in the Czech Republic. They are of purely European origin which gives PETROF the authority to use the EUROPEAN EXCELLENCE seal.

PETROF brand family includes also Weinbach, Rösler and Scholze brands.

PETROF pianos have had many famous admirers from the world of music including RAY CHARLES, COUNT BASIE, PAUL McCARTNEY, RICHARD CLAYDERMAN, ENNIO MORRICONE or MARK LEVINSON among others. Recently, PETROF grand pianos enchanted such great pianists as REGINA SPEKTOR, folk singer extraordinaire, and renowned classical pianist DAVID HELFGOTT - whose story is told in the Oscar winning movie "SHINE".
