Hellerbass

Piano craftsman Walter Heller commenced the production of piano bass strings in 1985. Five years later, a production hall was built. In 1997, the son Gregor, also piano craftsman, took over the company. Nowadays, Hellerbass ®, which has 7 employees, supplies repair workshops as well as piano industry with upright and grand piano strings. Exports make up 50%. The ordering of bass strings is easy. The customer receives a special measuring band containing loops and can therefore measure the necessary “A” and “B” measurements (see sketch) directly on the instrument. The measurements are entered onto the order form and sent by fax. This saves the unnecessary packing and postage of the old defective original string.
